Perspectives Film Festival 2015 delves into the difficult, but necessary topic of Transition — where characters embark on journeys that test their limits and alter their lives.

This year’s lineup of seven films takes you on transitions across a spectrum of historical and cultural contexts, from transsexuals crossing the Australian Outback to a Japanese grandmother on a pilgrimage towards death.

The path is never certain, and sometimes these characters find themselves at  dead ends.  But in traversing the unknown, they bring us fresh insights about our individual existence, and the bittersweet bonds we forge with loved ones.

Beyond the cinematic  experience, the festival brings you an exciting range of activities before and during the festival.  These include a post-screening dialogue and directing workshop with acclaimed British animation director Martin Rosen of Watership Down fame, as well as an informative talk by Michael Bremer from the Cannes Film Festival.

Now in its eighth year, Perspectives Film Festival is an annual practicum course run by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), and organised by undergraduates from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
