The 2014 Singapore Chinese Film Festival 新加坡华语电影节, jointly organised by the Singapore Film Society and SIM University’s UniSIM Centre for Chinese Studies, will be held over 11 days from 17 – 27 April. Into its second year, SCFF seeks to promote quality Chinese Cinema in all its forms and diversity to audiences in Singapore.
This year, the total number of films has increased from 10 feature titles to 30 feature titles and 11 short film titles. The expanded programme, which will be presented at various venues namely The Cathay Cineplex, Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, National Museum of Singapore and The Arts House, will showcase four different themes: Chinese Panorama 华夏风情画, Documentary Vision 纪录片视角, Chinese Shorts Showcase 短片惊叹号 and King Hu Wuxia Classics 经典胡金铨.
