What To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore, Japanese Film Festival 2006 celebrates the joy of Friendship. All films come with English subtitles.
- Director-in-Focus : Kitano Takeshi
- Director-in-attendance : Ogigami Naoko, a young and emerging director, shall be in attendance to present two of her features: Yoshino’s Barber Shop and Kamome Diner.

* Queue numbers for Free-Admission screenings, issued for current day sessions, are available on a first-come, first-served basis, from 7.30pm on weekdays and from 10.30am on weekends and public holidays, at the SFS desk outside the Theatre.

** Tickets for screenings between 27th and 29th October can be purchased online or call GATECRASH Hotline 6222 5595. Tickets are also available at all SingPost Branches & S.A.M. Kiosks.

*** SFS members are entitled to discounted tickets at S$8 per session on production of a valid SFS membership card via the GATECRASH hotline 6222 5595 or in person at all SingPost Branches (one discounted ticket per member per session). Discounted tickets are not available online or at S.A.M. Kiosks
