Cinema 1 - In Time (PG13: Some Violence & Brief Coarse Language)
Cast: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Muphy
Director: Andrew Niccol
Genre: Sci-Fi/ Thriller
Running Time: 110 minutes
Welcome to a world where time has replaced money as the universal currency. The wealthy have accumulated thousands of years, allowing them to live forever, while the poor beg, borrow, and steal enough minutes to make it through the day.
In this world, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is one of the unlucky ones, waking up every morning with 23 hours left on his ticking clock, and the knowledge that if he doesn't earn enough time, he won't live to see tomorrow. But Will's fortune takes an unexpected turn when a wealthy stranger turns up dead, and Will finds himself 100 years richer.
Now the prime suspect for the man's murder, Will is on the run for his life, searching for the real killer with the help of a beautiful young woman (Amanda Seyfried), who is the only one who believes he is innocent.
Cinema 2 - Real Steel (PG13: Some Violence)
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Dakota Goyo
Director: Shawn Levy
Genre: Action/ Adventure
Running Time: 127 minutes
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future when the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who once lost his chance at a title. 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots have now taken over the ring.
Reduced to a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
