From the savage and disturbing to the whimsical and beguiling, each movie hand-picked for this year’s Film Festival demonstrates the spirit and diversity of narrative vision of independent film making in Korea today.

The Opening Film, Barefoot Gibong, tells the story of a mentally-disabled forty-year-old living in a rural village competing in a marathon.

A Gala Reception will be held before the screening where its lead actor Shin Hyun Joon will meet guests and fans.
