A single mother (Amami Yuki) is visiting Italy with her daughter as tourists during Christmas. Suddenly the daughter gets kidnapped and turning the mother into hysteria. Japanese diplomat Kuroda Yasushi (Oda Yuji) is then assigned to the Japanese Embassy in Rome, to help the mother to search for her daughter.

At the same time Japanese Foreign Minister (Hirata Mitsuru) will be arriving for the G8 meeting on the same city. As the events happen quickly a trainee interpreter (TOda Erika ) is assigned to be the Foreign Ministers interpreter. Later the kidnappers demand a ransom as an exchange for the girls release.

After the police intervention the ransom demand was cancelled and the effort to locate the girl is still ongoing. At first the Italian police are not very cooperative; suddenly there is abduction among Italian President and the G8 leaders prompting them to cooperate for the very first time.
