A Workshop by Wilson Yip

A multi-talented local filmmaker, Wilson Yip has played the roles of director, producer, cinematographer, writer and song composer in film productions both at home and overseas. His films HAPPINESS IS and MADAM CHAN have clinched the Best Actress award at the Festival du Cinéma de Paris and Best Performance (Singapore Short Films) at the recent 22nd Singapore International Film Festival respectively.

He will be taking workshop participants through:

Steps in pre-production, actual shooting and post-production

Pre-production: Writing the script, Choosing your actors, Location scouting, The Shotlist, Storyboard and Schedule

Principal Photography: Blocking, Lights and camera setup, Dry run, Actual take, On set practices, Understanding the actors, Cinematography, Location Sound.

Post-production: Picture Editing, Sound Design and editing
